About Datscha Tiny House

Datscha is a tiny house on wheels, built with love for detail and with a focus on sustainability. It offers space for a kitchen, a bathroom, a sleeping loft as well as a living area with a sofa bed. And that on modest ca 18qm.

Many little things are waiting to be discovered and tried out. Foldable breakfast table, underfloor heating, furniture that can become either a table or stool or a breakfast served in bed. Intriguing details await you also outside the four walls.

Basics

2 persons | 2 beds

Amenities

Because Datscha is a tiny house, saving space and sustainability are essential. Some of the furniture might appear a bit inconvenient:

Bioethanol Stove
Roof window
Fully equipped kitchen
Small Bathtub
Freezing toilet
Sleeping loft
Sleeping Sofa

The kitchen

equipped for 4 people

Bathroom

Equipment that is comparable to a very, very small villa.

The surroundings

Most recently, Datscha stood in the middle of a quiet forest near Graz, Austria. In the meantime we have exchanged the tranquility of the forest for a little more liveliness in St. Georgen am Attersee. Here you will find water basins personally created by the landscape gardener and a fireplace for long campfire evenings.

The price

110 / Night

All taxes have been applied.
The price does not depend on the number of guests.

Questions?

The sleeping loft is accessible via a ladder. The loft includes a queen-size bed and can comfortably accommodate 2 people. For children and people with physical disabilities, the ladder is an obstacle.

Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided. Nobody has to be cold.

Each person gets their own 140cm wide duvet. We have warm and cool duvets with synthetic filling to make life easier for people with house dust allergies. Extra blankets are always available.

The freezer toilet offers the same odourless convenience as a normal toilet. The toilet is cooled by the electricity and the waste is composted afterwards. There is no need to flush, instead, you can sprinkle a little sawdust into the toilet. The toilet must be emptied for longer stays over 1 week. This will of course be done by the host on-site.

The freezing toilet has no other mysteries to unravel. All the remaining usual toiletry techniques apply.

Yes and no. Hot water is provided by 2 small water heaters. When these are used up, it takes a few minutes for warm water to flow again. Cold water is of course unlimited. Nevertheless, think about your water consumption.

It’s a little sacrifice to your comfort, but it is so much better for the planet.

No, everything important is on site. From towels to toilet paper, from bioethanol to shampoo. A selection of spices to test out your kitchen skills is available as well as essential products for everyday survival (I’m talking about you, coffee!).

Alcohol stove uses bioethanol as a fuel and does not require to be plugged into electricity or a chimney. It is 100% safe to use, but it operates with an open flame – it’s always better to be extra cautious while cooking.

The fuel must be refilled if you cook a lot – bioethanol and the instructions are provided in the house.

The alcohol stove requires more time to heat up than an electric stove – please be patient, it’s your holidays after all.
